A charming little streetscape inspired by the colorful storefronts and neighborhood character of East Atlanta, Georgia.

Artist Martin Clary finds inspiration in the familiar buildings, back roads, storefronts, and everyday places that give a community its sense of place. This original piece captures the feeling of an East Atlanta streetscape in delicate pen and ink, softened with washes of watercolor in muted yellows, brick reds, greens, and blues. The result has the wonderful feel of an architectural sketch discovered in an artist's travel journal.

Martin completes each painting by handcrafting its frame from old, reclaimed, weathered wood. Knots, cracks, nail holes, rough edges, variations in color, and other charming imperfections are intentionally left intact—each a reminder of the wood's former life and part of what makes every frame completely one of a kind.

The original pen-and-ink watercolor measures 11" x 6" and is mounted to hardboard for stability. With its handcrafted reclaimed-wood frame, the piece measures approximately 13" x 8 1/4" overall. A sawtooth hanger is mounted on the back, so it arrives ready to hang and enjoy.

A one-of-a-kind original with a wonderful sense of place—perfect for an Atlanta or Georgia art collector, or anyone who loves eclectic neighborhoods, charming storefronts, and artwork with a little local character.
